Provost Atungwu Pays Congratulatory Visit to New Provost of FCAHPT, Ibadan

The Provost of the Federal College of Agriculture, Moor Plantation, Ibadan, Professor Jonathan J. Atungwu, paid a courtesy and congratulatory visit to the newly appointed Provost of the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan, Dr. Moshood Abiola Popoola. Professor Atungwu was accompanied by the Dean, School of Agriculture, Dr. Modupe Sodamola, and Dr. Onasanya. He warmly congratulated Dr. Popoola on his well-deserved appointment as Provost of the College.

The appointment by His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is a recognition of Dr. Popoola’s remarkable contributions to veterinary medicine, academia, education and institutional development.

Professor Atungwu expressed confidence that Dr. Popoola’s wealth of experience, knowledge and commitment would contribute significantly to the advancement of the institution and the wider community. He wished him wisdom, strength and success in the discharge of this important national assignment. He also expressed the hope that his tenure would be defined by impactful leadership, innovation, institutional growth and lasting achievements.

The delegation also paid a courtesy visit to the immediate past Acting Provost of the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Dr. Chidi Okpeze, to appreciate his service and congratulate him on the successful completion of his tenure.

Professor Atungwu commended Dr. Okpeze for his stewardship and wished him continued success in his future endeavours. He emphasised that the end of a thing is better than its beginning.
