FCAIB, Multivate Sign MoU to Establish CBT Centre and Hybrid German Language Centre

The Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan (FCAIB) and Multivate Nig. Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish and operate a Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre and a Hybrid German Language Centre at the College.

The agreement was formally signed on Thursday, 20 August 2026, at the College as part of efforts to expand access to digital education, language training and international opportunities for students, staff and members of the wider community.

The MoU was signed on behalf of the College by the Provost, Professor J. J. Atungwu and the Registrar, Mrs. Popoola Olanike. Multivate Nig. Ltd. was represented by Mr. Segun Akanbi, who signed on behalf of the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kazeem Ojoye.

Welcoming the Multivate team to the College, the Provost expressed the College’s readiness to support the partnership and ensure that the initiative delivers meaningful benefits to its students, staff and the wider public.

Professor Atungwu stressed the importance of positioning the Centre to serve beneficiaries not only within Nigeria but also across the West African sub-region. He noted that the initiative would strengthen the College’s contribution to digital education while creating new opportunities in German language learning, international education and professional development.

In his remarks, Mr. Segun Akanbi appreciated the Provost and management of the College for welcoming the partnership and granting Multivate access to the College’s facilities for the establishment of the language centre. He expressed confidence that the collaboration would create valuable opportunities for students, staff and members of the community.

Under the agreement, Multivate Nig. Ltd. will provide 30 laptops for the German Language Centre. The facility will also function as a CBT Centre where computer-based examinations and other related digital services can be conducted.

A major benefit of the partnership is the provision of discounted services for FCAIB students and staff.

The partnership will also provide access to orientation seminars on study and work opportunities in Germany. Where applicable, Multivate will organise digital capacity-building sessions to further strengthen the digital skills of beneficiaries.

The CBT facilities will also be made available to the College for its academic and administrative needs subject to proper scheduling and coordination.

The initiative represents an important step in the College’s efforts to broaden opportunities for its students and staff beyond the traditional classroom. Through the partnership, FCAIB will provide its community with greater access to digital testing facilities, foreign language education and information on international study and work opportunities.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Head of Bursary, Mr. Adeyemi Jaguno; the Director of ICT, Engr. John Ijadunola; and the Head of the Legal Unit, Barrister Samuel Elum.

The execution of the MoU marks the formal commencement of the strategic partnership between FCAIB and Multivate Nig. Ltd. The College expects the initiative to strengthen its digital capacity, enhance access to German language education and open new pathways for students and staff seeking international opportunities.

The partnership further reinforces the commitment of the Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan to providing relevant skills, modern learning opportunities and practical pathways that prepare its students and staff for an increasingly global and digital world.
